Stephanie Diaz | Attorney

Stephanie Diaz, Immigration attorney for Quan Law Group, is a graduate of South Texas College of Law Houston. She represents clients in all aspects of U.S. immigration law, including removal defense, family, and employment-based matters.

As a previous Law Clerk with Quan Law Group, Ms. Diaz gained firsthand experience working on a wide variety of immigration cases, including family-based petitions, asylum, VAWA, unlawful presence waivers, waivers of inadmissibility, U-Visas, and motions to reopen/reconsider before the immigration court and immigration service.

Ms. Diaz also has experience in family and employment-based appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), the Administrative Appeals Office (AAO), and the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals (BALCA).

Ms. Diaz received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. During law school, she represented indigent clients in removal proceedings in the Advanced Immigration Clinic. She also participated in the Actual Innocence Clinic, where she investigated allegations of wrongful conviction based on claims of innocence and suggested strategies for relief for those cases. Ms. Diaz was an officer for the Hispanic Law Students Association and the Immigration Law Society, where she advocated the importance of a minority presence in the legal community.

During law school, Ms. Diaz worked for Catholic Charities (St. Frances Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance) and volunteered for Baker Ripley’s Immigration and Citizenship Program. She also participated in the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Politics of Race Seminar class, and was awarded multiple MABAH/HISBA/HLSA Scholarships.

She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, and the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston.
